Back to Normal School Timing in Cachar as Heat Wave Subsides, DC Issues Fresh Notice
In a recent directive from the District Magistrate’s office, all government and private schools in Cachar district are set to return to their regular operating hours starting September 26, 2024. This decision follows the easing of the heat wave, which had led to temporary changes in school timings.
Previously, due to extreme weather conditions, school hours were adjusted to run from 7:30 AM to 12:30 PM. With the weather now improving, schools will resume their normal schedules, much to the relief of students, teachers, and parents alike.
The District Magistrate has approved the order, advising all schools, including those under the State Government, Central Government, and private institutions, to follow this updated schedule. Education authorities have expressed appreciation for the cooperation of school heads and staff during the period of revised timings and have encouraged them to ensure a smooth transition back to normal routines.
Officials have also stated that any further updates or changes will be communicated based on evolving weather conditions and relevant advisories.
This announcement was made in a press release from the Regional Office of Information & Public Relations, Barak Valley Zone, Silchar, Assam.
