Education minister Pegu on a three-day visit to Barak, meetings with the party committees of three districts

Education Minister of Assam, Dr Ranoj Pegu reached Silchar yesterday on a three day trip to Barak Valley. During his visit, he will have different meetings with the district committees of his party in Cachar, Karimganj and Hailakandi. As a part of his itinerary, today he will attend a meeting at the Deputy Commissioner’s office from 3 in the afternoon, where the Minister will discuss the Forest Rights Act with other elected representatives and officials.

Yesterday, on the first day of his visit to Barak, the minister attended a meeting of the district committee of the Bharatiya Janata Party in Silchar. The meeting started at 3 in the afternoon. Yesterday, Dr Pegu also visited the “Asomi Sharodiya Mela, 2022” organised by Assam State Rural Livelihood Mission’s Cachar District Management Unit. The Sharodiya Mela is being held at Hashi Khushi Bhawan near Silchar DSA Complex.

Today morning, the Education Minister of Assam left for Karimganj by road. In Karimganj as well, he attended a meeting of the party members from 10 in the morning. He returned to Silchar in the afternoon to attend a meeting with the officials of the forest department and other concerned people, along with all the MLAs and MPs.

Today’s meeting in the afternoon is about the Forest Rights Act in the conference hall of the Deputy Commissioner of Cachar. On the last day of his visit tomorrow, he will visit Hailakandi for a scheduled meeting. In Hailakandi, the Minister belonging to the Bharatiya Janata Party will attend a meeting with the party’s district committee. The meeting is supposed to start at 9 in the morning tomorrow. After his meeting, the minister will leave for Silchar from Hailakandi at 11:00 AM and then leave for Guwahati after a halt at the Silchar Circuit House. He will leave for Guwahati at 2:35 PM via flight.
