Eight more test COVID positive in Barak Valley, state total rises to 616

After 25 yesterday, eight more have tested COVID positive in Barak Valley. All the affected people are mail and were already in the quarantine centre.
Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma tweeted, “19 new cases of #COVID19+ reported. 7 Karimganj, 5 Goalpara, 3 Guwahati, 1 each from Dhubri, Hailakandi, Udalguri, Lakhimpur.”
This brings the total number of cases to 616 (including 62 recoveries, 4 deaths and 3 migrated cases). The active cases stand at 547 in Assam right now.
The names of affected people in Barak Valley released by the authorities read as: Dilwar Hussain (24 years) Karimganj), Ribel Ahmed (21 years) Karimganj, Monuj Dey (24 years) Karimganj, Aulad Hussain (23 years) Karimganj, Abdul Halim (22 years) Karimganj, Haider Hussain (22 years) Karimganj, Ajit Dey (29 years) Karimganj and Misbahiur Rahman Barbhuiya (23 years) Hailakandi.
Apart from the Hailakandi patient, who had traveled to Barak Valley from Uttar Pradesh, the details of the rest seven haven’t been provided.
