GC College HS 1st Year online form fill up starts today, TDC 1st Year from June 9

In a notice signed by the Principal of GC College, Dr. Bibhas Deb, it was informed that the online form fill up process of HS 1st Year for the academic session 2018-19 will start from June 7, 2018 (i.e. today) to June 11, 2018. The form fill up for TDC and B.B.A. 1st Year will start from June 9, 2018 to June 14, 2018.

Cut off Marks for HS 1st Year Science has been kept as 55% and above in HSLC, with 55% in General Math and Science (for both morning and day session). For Commerce stream it is 45% or above in HSLC (for both morning and day session) and for Arts stream it is 45% (for both morning and day session).

The eligibility criteria for TDC 1st Year Science is 60% or above in HSSLC. For TDC 1st Year Commerce it is 60% or above in HSSLC, and for TDC 1st Year Arts is 45% or above in HSSLC. Students who have passed HS 2018 from GC College itself are eligible for admission and don’t require any cut off marks.

The merit list for HS 1st Year Science will be published on June 13, 2018. Merit List for HS 1st Year Commerce and Arts will get published on June 14, 2018 and June 15, 2018 respectively.

For TDC 1st Year Students, the merit or selection list will get published on June 19, 2018 and June 20, 2018 for all the streams i.e. Science, Commerce, Arts and B.B.A.

Students fulfilling the eligibility criteria can visit the official website www.gurucharancollege.ac.in and upload their particulars such as recent photographs, self attested copies of their last admit card, mark sheet, pass certificate, cast certificate (in case of reserve category), gap certificate (if any), sports/culture certificate (if any) through the online system carefully and submit a print copy of the uploaded form/particulars and all enclosures along with original copies of the same at the time of verification/counselling for admission.

It maybe mentioned that the online process of form fill up has newly started to curb anomalies and for ensuring a fair admission process. The Assam University has also introduced CBCS (Choice Based Credit System) to TDC 1st Year for the academic session 2018-19 which is based on Cafeteria Approach, where a student can opt (or choose) certain subjects from a bunch of available subjects suited to personal interest. It allows a student to study cross-discipline subjects along with the primary course where the student is enrolled into.
