49 home quarantined, 3 kept in NIT; "No Corona in Cachar yet," District Administration

Total of 52 people have been isolated in Cachar district, out of which 49 are home quarantined and 3 kept at NIT Silchar. Three more kept under observation at Silchar Medical College. This was informed by Sumon Choudhury from District Health department on Sunday, adding that no COVID-19 case yet traced at the district.

Apart from this, everyday from Monday onwards at five of the afternoon, complete information about the Corona cases will be made public by the district administration, keeping in mind the rumours doing round the social media.

Dr. Ajit Bhattacherjee on behalf of the administration will disperse the information to the media.

The administration has already taken various measures to prevent the attack of Corona in the district. Special Intensive Care Unit has been set up at Silchar Medical College and Satindra Mohan Dev Civil Hospital. There are also special team of doctors and nurses formed. Strict surveillance is being kept by the administration in every pocket of ​​the district. Immediate examination and treatment of suspected persons are being carried.

Meanwhile, the public gatherings have almost got nil in the district. Resonating with the measures taken by the administration, common public also stepping forward to stop the entry of Corona in the valley. According to the World Health Organization, next two weeks will be very difficult time for India.
