Advance reservation period of all 230 specials trains increased to 120 days

Indian Railways has modified its instructions for 30 special Rajdhani type trains which started w.e.f. 12.05.2020 and 200 Special Mail / Express introduced w.e.f. 01.06.2020. Ministry of Railways has now decided to increase the advance reservation period (ARP) of all these notified special trains from 30 days to 120 days. Booking of Parcel and luggage will also be permitted in all these 230 trains.

The above changes will come into effect from 08:00 hours of train booking date of 31st May 2020 onwards, a release from the Northeast Frontier Railways informed.

Other terms and conditions e.g., Current booking, Tatkal quota allocation of seats to roadside stations, etc will be the same as in regular timetabled trains.

The Indian Railways on Friday also appealed to people not to travel on Shramik Special trains if they are suffering from pre-existing health conditions. The appeal came after nine deaths were reported on-board Shramik Special trains, run by the railways.
