Assam University's CBCS odd sem exam from Mar 28, will continue till April 22

Assam University to conduct its Odd Semester End Semester Examination this month. The exam that was supposed to be held in December 2021 will be held in March 2022. The undergraduate degree exams for the various programmes under the University will start from March 28, 2022. This examination will be for the Choice Based Credit System batches studying under various colleges affiliated with the university.

The Central University have colleges affiliated from the three districts of Barak Valley and even Dima Hasao. The examination that will start from March 28, will continue up to April 22. The varsity officially shared this programme on their website with the undersign of the Controller of Examinations. Students from various disciplines of Arts, Science, Commerce, BVOC, Computer Application and Business Administration will sit for the upcoming examination.

It is worth noticing here that the university examination programme reads “1st, 3rd & 5th Semester (CBCS) Examinations, December 2021”. But what’s astonishing is that examinations are being held three months later. The University might hold COVID responsible for the delay, but this delay comes at a very heavy cost, where many students of the previous batches are unable to find a seat in the university of their choice for pursuing higher education and masters. This repeated delay of the university will force yet another batch of students to take a “gap year”.
