CM Himanta Biswa Sarma reaches Silchar; Visits RSS office after paying tribute to Vajpayee’s statue

Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma kickstarts his first planned visit to Barak Valley as Chief Minister by paying a tribute to Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee. There is a statue of Vajpayee located in what is known as the “Zero Point” of Mahasadak. Recently, in the Assembly, Sarma said that Rs 1,824 crore have been allocated for the construction of 49 kilometres stretch between Lumding and Silchar.

When he stopped at Vajpayee’s Statue to put the garland, he discussed the road with his peers at the party. From there, his convoy with Z+ Category Security reached the RSS office in Ambicapatty.

The CM has a packed schedule for the next couple of days. He reached the Kumbirgram airport in the morning and then travelled to the city by road.

After finishing his meeting at RSS office, he will rush to Srikona to inspect the work in progress of Mini Secretariat.
