Derailment Disrupts NF Railway Services: Silchar - Guwahati Train Among Cancellations, Short Terminations, and Rescheduling

In a press statement issued today by Sabyasachi De, the Chief Public Relations Officer (CPRO) of NF Railway, it has been revealed that train services have been severely affected following a train derailment incident between Jatinga Lampur and New Harangajao stations in the Lumding division.

The disruption particularly impacts services to and from Silchar, with several cancellations, short terminations, and rescheduling measures put in place.

The press statement added, Senior railway officials, alongside essential equipment, are on-site to expedite the restoration process.

Several trains have been canceled as follows:

1. The 05628 Agartala-Guwahati Special slated for April 25, 2024.
2. The 15615 Guwahati-Silchar Express scheduled for April 26, 2024.
3. The 05627 Guwahati-Agartala Special set for April 26, 2024.
4. The 13175 Sealdah-Agartala Kanchanjungha Express scheduled for April 27, 2024.
5. The 12519 LTT-Agartala Express planned for April 28, 2024.
6. The 14620 Firozpur-Agartala Express due on April 29, 2024.

Short Terminations:

Additionally, the following trains have been short-terminated:

1. The 12503 Humsafar Express of April 23, 2024, terminated at Lumding.
2. The 15611 Rangiya-Silchar Express of April 25, 2024, terminated at Lumding.
3. The 15616 Silchar-Guwahati Express of April 25, 2024, terminated at Ditokcherra.
4. The 15618 Dullabcherra-Guwahati Express of April 25, 2024, terminated at Badarpur.
5. The 14619 Agartala-Firozpur Express of April 25, 2024, terminated at Badarpur.
6. The 13174 Agartala-Sealdah Kanchanjungha Express of April 25, 2024, terminated at Hilara.
7. The 12520 Agartala-LTT Express of April 25, 2024, terminated at Damchara.

Rescheduling Information:

Furthermore, the following rescheduling has been announced:

1. The 12508 Silchar-Trivandrum Express of April 25, 2024, rescheduled to depart at 06:00 hrs on April 26, 2024.
2. The 07029 Agartala – Secunderabad Special of April 26, 2024, rescheduled to commence at 15:00 hrs.
3. The 15616 Silchar-Guwahati Express of April 26, 2024, rescheduled to start at 10:00 hrs.
