Hailakandi administration to lift curfew on Sunday from Sadar areas 

The Hailakandi district administration has decided to lift curfew imposed in Hailakandi Sadar Police Station areas from 6 am on Sunday. The decision came in after assesment of marked improvement in law and order and requests from public.

District Magistrate Keerthi Jalli issued an order on the development. The order stated  to suspend the curfew imposed on May 10. She added that it has been done following improvement in the law and order situation and pleas from public and organisations so that they carry on their essential daily work.

However, the curfew will remain in force from 10 tonight to 6 am tomorrow.

It may be mentioned that the administration had lifted curfew from other parts of the district barring Hailakandi Sadar areas on May 17.
