Incubation centre at GC College to encourage the startup boom

The Department of Commerce of Gurucharan College and its alumni Biswajit Paul who is the founder of Quickobook, has taken the initiative of building an Incubation Centre in the college.

In the conference hall of Gurucharan College, Silchar, the centre was formally inaugurated in a closedoor ceremony by the Principal of the college and other dignitaries.

This centre is built with the purpose of boosting the growth of young entrepreneurs and for the holistic development of the students who have an entrepreneurial mindset and aims to become business tycoons of tomorrow.

On Wednesday morning the Incubation Centre was inaugurated by the Principal of this pristine college, Dr. Bibash Deb in presence of the Convenor of Internal Quality Assessment Cell, Dr. Rajashree Paul, and other dignitaries. This centre projects to margin the gap between students and entrepreneurs and provide them with real life knowledge about the market, industry and business.

Incubation Centre is an institution that assists debutant entrepreneurs in developing their business and solving problems associated with it. Be it technical services, business education, initial seed funds, lab facilities, advisory, network and linkages.

Vivek Poddar, the President of Assam Chamber of Commerce, Southern Assam Chapter was also present as an expert and resource person. Chartered Accountants,Tech Experts, Entrepreneurs, and Creative Artists present in the session shared their inputs and assured necessary support and guidance to this development centre and it’s students.

This assisting enterprise will be a boon for the students who can learn and contribute ideas to the entrepreneurship scene of this valley and might become business leaders of tomorrow. There will be several sessions, ideas contests and brainstorming unde this forum, not just for the students of this college, but also for the students of the entire valley.
