Landslide disrupts train movement in hill section; many trains cancelled, terminated

Train movement in the Hill section was disrupted on early hours of Friday after a massive landslide occurred in the region. The landslide was reported at KM 110/4-5 between Jatinga Lumpur station and New Harangajao station.
As a result of this landslide, train movement in the said section has been stopped. According to sources-

13176 Silchar Sealdah Kanchanjunga Express has been cancelled for today.

55616 Silchar Guwahati Passenger train has been short terminated at Chandranathpur station and will remain cancelled between Chandranathpur and Guwahati.

55615 Guwahati Silchar Passenger train has been short terminated at New Haflong station and will remain cancelled between New Haflong and Silchar.

13173 Sealdah Agartala KJ Express has been short terminated at Lumding and will remain cancelled between Lumding and Agartala.

Sources have also informed that it will take more than 8 hours to clear the block. More details awaited.
