Sad News: 1 dead, 23 injured in a road mishap

Sad news. A road mishap in Salchapra area in Cachar district has left one dead and 23 travelers severely injured. Bhangarpar resident, 55-year-old Maqslisar Rehman lost his life on the spot.

Salchapra Police Station, officer-in-charge, Abdul Hai Choudhury, confirmed the incident. He said, “Bus No AS 11 BC 4994, lost its control and slipped off the road at around 1 PM.”

The bus was heading from Karimganj to Silchar and the incident took place near Salchapra Bazar. The injured passengers are undergoing treatment at Silchar Medical College. Medical officials informed four of the injured 23 are in serious serious condition.
