The rapist of a 7-year-old girl has been sentenced to two decades of rigorous punishment.
A Special Court in Cachar under the POCSO Act has sentenced the accused rapist Bipul Sarkar. He had lured the 7-year-old innocent girl and forcefully raped her. The rapist who hails from the New Kanchanpur area of Silchar was a tent-house labour near the victim’s residence.
On the evening of August 27, 2019, a tragic incident unfolded near the National Highway area of Silchar. In a rented home in the vicinity, a young girl lived with her family.
