In a tragic road accident, Jakir Hussain Barbhuiya, a 35-year-old resident of Seuti in North Katigorah, lost his life when his vehicle plunged into a deep gorge in Mizoram. Jakir, who was driving a truck loaded with cooking gas cylinders from the Borkhola’s Jarailtola Gas Bottling Plant, met with the accident at Lunglu in Mizoram. The incident occurred late Wednesday night, leaving his family and the local community in mourning.

According to family sources, Jakir’s truck lost control and fell into the gorge, resulting in his instant death. The handyman accompanying him was rescued with injuries and rushed to a nearby hospital. The news of Jakir’s death reached his home on Thursday morning, casting a pall of grief over the family and the community.

Jakir’s family is in deep shock as he was the sole breadwinner. He leaves behind his wife, two young daughters, a son, and his parents, including his father, Eklas Uddin, who is bedridden with paralysis.
