Silchar shines bright in Assam Youth Olympics Fencing: Lamanganba wins Silver, Bronze for Tanushree and Ennes

Silchar marks its grand beginning in the Assam Youth Olympics. In Fencing, the youth of Silchar has bagged 3 medals as of today. Tanushree Singh inaugurated the victory list in Fencing (girls) by winning the Bronze medal. In the boys sector, a silver and a bronze medal were respectively bagged by Lamanganba Maitei and Enes Singh.

The performances in Fencing are absolutely noteworthy, as no proper training centres for the sport are available in the district. The Youth Olympics made the youth athletes of Silchar face off the ones from Guwahati.
