A 30-year-old had several health issues and therefore consulted the doctors in Silchar. After tests, she was diagnosed with a tumour in her ovary. The doctors had a clue that it was a big tumour but it turned out to be a giant one.

In a press statement, gynaecologist Dr. Subrata Bhattacharjee informed that this operation marks a “historical day” for the medical science in Barak Valley. He explained this operation as a “huge feat”. Dr. Bhattacharjee informed that the tumour weighs around 10kilogram.

MD Gynaecology, Dr. Subrata Bhattacharjee was accompanied by Dr. Debashish Biswas, Dr. Arindam Bhattacharjee and other assistants at the operation theatre at Medinova Hospital in Meherpur Silchar. “It was a combined effort of all the doctors and assistants due to which we could achieve this great feat,” said Dr. Bhattacharjee.

He added, “The patient is fine but under treatment. We are witnessing a smooth recovery.”

Dr. Subrata Bhattacharjee said the fraternity has shared a warm reaction on the success. “We have been congratulated by the doctors and experts in the fraternity which is very encouraging,” said Dr. Bhattacharjee in his media statement.
