“Nagaon and Karimganj are tough, will be a contest,” Himanta Biswa Sarma

Chief Minister of Assam Himanta Biswa Sarma campaigned in Dholai for BJP’s Parimal Shuklabaidya. This is his second trip in the last three days and he will be back in Silchar tomorrow to join Home Minister Amit Shah in his road show.

While interacting with the Press, CM Sarma said he is upbeat about winning all five constituencies that went for poll yesterday. Jorhat, Dibrugarh, Kaziranga, Lakhimpur, and Sonitpur went for polls in the first phase. While Jorhat has heavyweight Congress candidate Gaurav Gogoi, Sarma said, “100% we will win five on five. No chance of 4 – 1.”

At his confident best, Sarma said that BJP will have an advantage in the second phase of polling too. “In the next phase Nagaon and Karimganj are tough, will be a contest. We will win in Silchar, he assessed.

Today, Secondary Education Board of Assam announced the results for the HSLC Examination and Chief Minister Sarma congratulated the students for securing a high pass percentage. “This is a great sign of progress for the state of Assam,” concluded CM Sarma.
