Rozgar Mela in Silchar Provides Employment to 64 Youths

Today, on February 12, the government of India hosted a unique fair named “Rozgar Mela” in Silchar, where youths from across the nation received appointment letters for various government departments. The event took place at Masimpur BSF Camp and was graced by Central Petroleum Minister Mr. Rameshwar Teli as the Chief Guest.

A total of 64 individuals from the region were fortunate to receive their appointment letters during the fair. Among them, 54 secured positions in the Postal Department, 7 at NIT, 2 at CRPF, and 1 at BSF. Minister Rameshwar Teli personally handed over the letters to the recipients, expressing his satisfaction with the government’s efforts in fulfilling the dreams of these individuals.

Speaking to the media, Minister Teli commended the government, particularly Prime Minister Narendra Modi, for delivering on their promise of providing 10 Lakh jobs to the people. He highlighted that similar fairs were simultaneously conducted at 46 locations across the nation on this day, resulting in the appointment of one lakh individuals. In Assam, the fair was organised in two locations: Guwahati and Silchar. In Guwahati, former Chief Minister of Assam Mr. Sarbananda Sonowal was present to witness the event.

Minister Teli revealed that out of the promised 10 lakh jobs by the Prime Minister, one lakh positions were fulfilled on this day, with plans to continue such Rozgar Melas every month to ensure the remaining positions are filled.

The event was inaugurated virtually by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, following which 64 individuals from Silchar received their appointment letters, wearing wide smiles on their faces.
