Panchayat Elections: Assam University once again reschedules PG/UG/Integrated odd semester examinations

Assam University released a new notification in which it has announced that the Post Graduate, Under Graduate and integrated odd semester examinations (except for Business Administration Department), which were due to be held from 6th December 2018, have now been deferred to 14th of December.

The decision was made in view of the upcoming Panchayat Elections.

It may be noted that the University had issued a notification on 12th of November in which it had rescheduled the Three Year Degree Course (TDC) examinations.

According to that notification, the TDC Honors Exam will begin from 17th December 2018 and go on till 22nd December 2018. TDC Pass Exam (non-CBCS) will commence from 7th January, 2019 and end on 31st January, 2019. Meanwhile, the CBCS First Semester Exam will start from 7th January 2019 and end on 12 February 2019.

The decision was taken in a meeting held at the Assam University on Thursday, informed Controller of Examinations Suprabir Dutta Roy to BarakBulletin.com.

It may be mentioned that the Panchayat Elections will be held on 5th and 9th December, counting of votes being on 12th December. The Election Commission had urged all the educational institutions of the state to defer their exams to a further date.
