Terrible accident while going to picnic, 2 dead and 13 injured as Magic Truck rolls down from the hills in Ratabari

Two young men were killed in a terrible accident while attending a picnic. Atleast 13 people got injured. A Tata Magic Truck (No AS 11CC 3256) fell rolling down from the hills for about 100 metres. This terrible accident took place in Chatachura located in Ratabari. 16 years old Aftar Hussain and 25 years old Biswajit Lohar both from Hailakandi District’s Katlicherra were the two identified as dead. The accident took place on Saturday afternoon at 3 pm at Garad Hill’s highest peak. While descending from the hills, the magic truck lost it’s control and hit a betelnut tree while rolling down from the hills for about 100 metres. Two youths died on the spot in the accident.

After rescuing all the passengers, the local residents sent the injured to to Silchar Medical College and Hospital (SMCH). Among the injured, the condition of three is critical as per reports. Hearing about the incident, Ratabari Police came to the spot, recovered the two dead bodies and took them to Ratabari Police Station.
